
Mariam Khanfar is a PhD candidate in the Human and Statistical Genetics program at Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her B.S. in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2016, followed by an M.Sc. in Diagnostic Molecular Biology and Human Genetics in 2019. Mariam is interested in the application of genomic and RNA technologies, such as whole-exome sequencing (WES) and single-cell genomics, to study various cancers. In collaboration with the Gomez Lab, she is studying Hodgkin lymphoma and the tumor microenvironment to contribute to a better understanding of tumor-immune interactions and cancer biology.
