🧬 Teaching at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
2025: Charlz served as a Teaching Assistant for the Advanced Sequencing Technologies & Bioinformatics Analysis course at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
He contributed to hands-on lab sessions, guiding students through sequencing data analysis workflows while gaining experience in scientific instruction and mentorship.
This opportunity reflects the lab’s growing involvement in training and outreach, extending its impact beyond research to education and collaboration within the broader genomics community.

September 2025: The Gomez Lab and Jennifer Foltz Lab came together to enjoy the Korean Festival at Tower Grove Park — a day filled with amazing food, music, and cultural celebration.
🧬 Poster Presentation at Siteman Cancer Center Research Retreat
October 2025: Felicia Gomez presented a research poster titled “Characterizing the Expression Profile of Hodgkin Reed Sternberg Cells using Single Nuclei RNA Sequencing” at the Siteman Cancer Center Research Retreat.
This project integrates exome and single-nuclei RNA sequencing to identify and characterize putative Hodgkin Reed Sternberg (HRS) cells across classical Hodgkin lymphoma samples, revealing transcriptional programs involving CD30, PD-L1, and ERK1/2 pathway activation.
